Position Overview:

You will be designing advanced structural systems within the respective markets listed below. These systems might include mat foundations, deep foundations, two-way concrete slabs and composite floor systems, moment, braced and dual structural lateral load systems and shear walls. Project types include healthcare, federal, justice, education, corporate commercial, hospitality, industrial and military/DOD facilities and bases.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural design - buildings, facilities.
  • Perform structural design using RAM Structural System and RAM Concept.
  • Prepare construction design details for AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Experience with Concrete, Structural Steel, and Masonry.
  • Experience with multi-story building design.
  • Perform structural engineering calculations and drawings with a thorough understanding of the requirements of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD and capable of creating Revit models, drawings, sections, and details.
  • Large degree of inter-office collaboration with PRIME AE's Architectural Division.
  • Occasional pre-determined/scheduled travel will be required - site visits.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree Structural Engineering; Masters preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
  • NCEES record of Model Law Engineer (MLE) preferred.
  • Targeting 3-7 years of experience; but the role will be customized/adapted to match the candidate's experience and career trajectory.
  • Experience with Water/Wastewater Projects a plus.
  • Revit proficiency is required.
