Job Description
Senior Staff Software Engineer (Multiple Positions), Becton Dickinson and Company, Sparks Glencoe, MD. Design strategies for enterprise systems and set standards for development, operations, and security. Construct large relational databases to integrate new systems with existing structures. Support data models for enterprise-wide solution. Collaborate with various architects and developers to collect and translate business requirements into data-centric solutions. Examine existing technologies and systems to identify potential gaps. Maintain compliance with architecture principles and industry standards to meet technical and business goals. Collaborating with system architects, design analysts, and other cross functional teams to understand business or industry requirements. Identify gaps in clients' technology systems and integrate improved software and hardware applications to ensure it harmonizes existing systems.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of post-bachelor, progressive, related work experience in software development.
Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:
· Designing large relational databases to integrate new systems with existing structures and support hardware and software platforms;
· Setting standards for software architecture, software development best practices, operations, and security;
· Utilizing Agile software and systems to demonstrate cross-functional systems delivery of complex hardware and software platforms under a highly regulated medical and diagnostic platform;
· .NET, C#, and design patterns;
· Conducting test automation and continuous delivery/deployment: TDD, unit/integration/functional and non-functional testing, and/or CI/CD; and
· Identifying and correcting deviations from architecture, development, and database standards.
