Senior Programmer

Location: Anne Arundel County, MD

Minimum Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI


As a Senior Programmer, you will be responsible for all phases involved with designing and developing new software products or conducting major enhancements to existing software. Additionally, you will function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.


Who You Are and What You Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science required. Years and type of spectrum management experience may be substituted for this requirement on a case-by-case basis
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in related field
  • Previous experience using Spectrum Management
  • Possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments
  • Demonstrated experience planning and leading major technology assignments including evaluating performance results and recommending major changes affecting short-term project growth and success

What You Will Do:

  • Assist users with a broad range of spectrum management tools.
  • Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software. Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications.
  • Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  • Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
  • Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  • Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
  • Resolve problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Perform as team leader on projects.
  • Instruct, assign, direct, and check the work of other software developers on development team.
  • Participate in development of software user manuals.
  • Serve as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.
  • Provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
  • Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives utilizing expert technical knowledge.
  • Direct and control activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.
  • Participate by interacting during client negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
