Under the direction of the Director, Career Readiness, the Coordinator is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of strategic initiatives, programs, and activities related to the career readiness strategic plan. The coordinator will have a focus on managing staff and projects to provide program support including, but not limited to, career readiness/Career Technology Education (CTE) programs and initiatives, budget development, professional development, compliance/reporting, and data analysis. The coordinator will directly supervise staff, including Manager - Career Readiness / CTE Professional Development & Support.

The coordinator is also responsible for developing strong partnerships with schools, other district offices, technical service providers, and others in support of the work.

Essential Functions
  • Manages the work of staff in the implementation of the Career Readiness Strategic Plan
  • Provides specialized academic and content support services in the areas of CTE and career readiness
  • Provides assistance and support to district professionals in building content knowledge, teacher pedagogy, and effective classroom management skills.
  • Manages projects and initiatives from development through implementation
  • Supports CTE teachers in the use of diagnostic, formative, and daily assessment tools and using data to inform instructional needs to achieve improved metrics
  • Uses student performance and achievement data as tools to identify barriers to success and assists with the designing of strategies for improvement.
  • Supports teachers and staff with professional learning opportunities and direct classroom support regarding CTE program completion and certification and workforce development.
  • Lead on the development of budgets and/or conduct data collection and analysis
  • Represents the wholeness team and work both internally and externally, as required.
  • Develops strong and highly collaborative working relationships with all key partners and stakeholders in the work.
  • Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school board policies and the professional standards.
Maximum Salary 113401.00
Minimum Salary 87921.00
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in education, social work, public health, or related field. Degree (s) must be from an accredited college or institution.
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a related field required.
  • Maryland State Department of Education Advanced Professional Certificate with Administrator I endorsement.
  • Experience in coaching administrators, staff, and/or teachers.
  • Experience in data analysis, budget development, and/or compliance/reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering programming related to career readiness or related work.
  • Demonstrated experience in using data to drive problem analysis and solutions in schools.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills that ensure effective team building and collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make persuasive presentations.
  • Proficient in the knowledge and use of technical computer applications including Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
