Essential Functions:

• Lead, Develop, and implement techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
• Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings.
• May create dynamic data reports.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:


Required:

• At least ten (10) years of experience performing duties similar to at least three (3) duties found in the Senior Data Scientist description.
• Must be a proactive self starter
• Must be customer service oriented, responding quickly to customer emails, tracking and following up on all assigned tasking
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent SQL skills.
• Strong understanding of Naval Aviation Data - Maintenance, Flight, Inventory, Supply, Maritime, XRAYS, etc.
• Be able to interpret ERDs (Entity Relationship Diagrams) that explain how the database tables are linked together and understand database architecture, Data Marts, etc.
• Cloud experience (Clusters, Databricks, iquery, Teradata Native Object Store, AWS S3, GovCloud, Python, Jupiter)

Security Clearance:
Must have active secret clearance and be eligible for Top Secret Clearance (SSBI). Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
MS or MA or MBA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Management or Relevant Technical Discipline, OR Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Management or Relevant Technical Discipline plus two (2) years of additional work experience performing the duties similar to the Experience Requirements below may be substituted for a Master's degree.
