ERG's Facilities Planning and Engineering team is seeking design professionals, construction professionals, engineers, or architects with experience managing facilities projects, such as interior or exterior building renovations, building repairs (e.g., roof or HVAC replacement), and modifications or repairs to utilities and infrastructure. These will be full-time, onsite positions will involve working closely with program/construction management teams to support the full life cycle of projects from initial concept design through construction completion and commissioning. The majority of work occurs during regular business hours as this is a liaison position - i.e., the position does not require direct supervision of construction trades. The successful candidate will be joining our growing team of professionals who focus on quality work and fostering collaborative, long-term relationships with our clients and within our team.

These positions will be full time at the federal site in Indian Head, MD, and will include interaction and support from ERG personnel at the federal site, as well as from ERG's Chantilly and Arlington offices. Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA. Alternative work schedules may be considered.
Job Description:
  • Support project planning and proposal efforts.
  • Track schedule and status of ongoing construction projects
  • Develop cost estimates for projects and update them with actual costs throughout the project
  • Conduct site visits to document existing conditions, develop new requirements, and create preliminary scopes and cost estimates
  • Perform design reviews for facility improvement projects provided by third-party design firms
  • Manage the design review process, including coordination with project stakeholders such as the facility operator/owner, security, human resources, and safety
  • Review project submittals
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree (minimum GPA of 3.0)
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Preferred Construction Quality Control Management certificate
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage an active portfolio of projects
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate/communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
  • Experience with design-build, engineering-procurement-construction, and design-bid-build types of construction projects
  • Experience with vertical new construction, building renovation, and civil/site infrastructure construction projects
  • Experience with construction building codes and permitting processes
  • Expertise with at least one of the following, but preferably all: HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
