Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists customers with parking tickets.
  • Operates POS systems to accept payment for parking, makes change and issues receipts or tickets.
  • Answers all guest questions and provides directions.
  • Records complaints and unusual occurrences in the shift log.
  • Posts waiting times at cashier window and advises guest accordingly.
  • Stores guest car keys by valet parking ticket number.
  • Pays particular attention to match the guest's claim check number to the corresponding key tag.
  • Dispatches valet parkers on a rotating basis.
  • Maintains knowledge about the hotel, its amenities and the local area.
  • Deposits all receipts at the end of the shift.
  • Responsible to account for all valet parking tickets issued to the door attendant, verifying that there are no outstanding/ unaccounted for valet parking tickets or car keys.
  • Keeps the cashier booth clean and orderly at all times.
  • Cross trains Front Desk agents to handle relief.
  • Provides exceptional customer service.
  • Works safely, following all established safety rules and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests.
  • Follow all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Complies with the company's recycling program standards.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Must be outgoing, friendly and have a positive attitude.
  • Must have good manners and be able to handle some pressure (peak periods).
  • Must be cooperative and be able to handle instructions.
  • Must possess good communication skills.
  • Must be able to report to work on time as scheduled.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as needed.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
  • Must present an overall professional appearance and report to work in appropriate attire.
