Provides professional support and assistance in the implementation of the Schoology Learning Management System. Assists with coordinating systemic and school-based professional development for the use of Schoology, blended learning, and use of instructional technology, and assists in monitoring the objectives, goals and outcomes established by the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning. Provides support in the field by coaching and conducting demonstration lessons for teachers. Plans and assists in administering the implementation of instructional strategies to support a successful implementation.

Essential Functions
  • Works with staff to implement Schoology and other educational technologies across all curriculum areas.
  • Collaborates with other staff to plan and implement professional development for teachers to ensure a deeper understanding of Schoology, blended learning, using technology to differentiate and the ability to integrate Educational Technology standards into instruction.
  • Develops, adapts, modifies, and individualizes digital educational materials, resources, techniques, methods, and strategies to meet the needs of students within City Schools' curriculum framework.
  • Participates in the training programs offered to increase technical, interpersonal and communication skills and proficiency related to the projects to which assigned.
  • Utilizes tact and exercises good judgement in interacting with the general public, school and central office personnel.
  • Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school board policies, and the professional standards.
Maximum Salary 107495.00
Minimum Salary 82017.00
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in education or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Maryland State Department of Education Advanced Professional Certificate required, Administrator I endorsement preferred.
  • Four years teaching experience.
  • Three years' experience with a Learning Management System.
  • Extensive knowledge of current best practices in blended learning and use of educational technologies.
  • Knowledge of effective student, school, and district assessment tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, coaching, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and evaluate staff in an educational setting.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Ability to facilitate positive communication and coordination of program activities with teachers, administrators, and staff.
  • Effective and experienced facilitator of professional development.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and prepare reports.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations.
  • Proficient in the use of computer applications, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Power Point.
