A week in the life of the Test Automation Engineer includes:

  • Develop software for an advanced synthetic training environment that is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats.
  • Build the automated test framework and automated test plan from the ground up for our current version of NGTS, as well as our new version of NGTS.
  • Design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions using different automation tools.
Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Degrees in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace, Computer, Software Systems, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering may qualify.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in relevant work area

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of various programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C++, etc.
  • Experience with building test automation frameworks; making framework enhancements to accommodate scripting needs
  • Ability to analyze bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes
  • Skilled in troubleshooting automation problems
  • Strong verbal communication to effectively collaborate with the software development team and create testing plans and written error reports

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is$100,000-135,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
