A week in the life of the A&R Software Developer includes:

• Develop analysis software to be used in conjunction with an advanced synthetic training environment that is used to analyze pilot training in flight simulators, and to provide debrief reports based upon the analysis.
• Develop code for assigned story/sub-task
• Attend daily stand-up meetings
• Submit and monitor active Pull Requests
• Attend demonstrations and demo completed stories
• Attend sprint kick-off and wrap-up meetings
• Log time worked for stories in Jira
• Provide status to team/project lead
• Author unit tests for software
• Build and test code

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Degrees in Engineering, Math, and Physics may qualify with at least 1 year of C++ experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in relevant to work area

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Analysis Programming Language (such as Python/MATLAB/R)
• Basic knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming using C++
• Ability to work with a team to accomplish goals

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is$72,000-95,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
