You Will

Branch Sales Specialists provide solutions and easily connect with our walk in customers and helps other team members to do the same. Sales Specialists objective is to maximize sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations by using their guidance, advanced knowledge, computer acumen, and winning attitude. Sales Specialists also provide, and assists other branch team members to provide, an exceptional customer experience from beginning to end. Sales Specialists routinely complete and has responsibility for a variety of branch processes that are critical to the branch's operation and overall effectiveness. Sales Specialists will routinely shift focus and multi-task to perform a variety of warehouse tasks. Sales Specialists have excellent allaround communication skills as well as the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

Principal Responsibilities:
-Utilize inclusive behaviors and use superior multi tasking/prioritization to serve as subject matter expert for branch team members as needed
-Use advanced skills and knowledge to maximize sales opportunities, take ownership and lead by example with all showroom sales promotions and product specials, and routinely exceed customer expectations
-Oversee and perform various branch critical processes and responsibilities as assigned. These processes include a variety or all of the following: safety, branch merchandising, inventory management, instant message/email response, standard work, document retention, supply purchasing, cash drawer/deposit, weekly/monthly will call purge, cancelled orders, inventory count oversight and discrepancies, stop sales, returns completion, market intelligence, specialized processes, daily open order monitoring, date sensitive inventory audits, and trailer audits. Onsite locations may have additional customized processes which may be assigned.
-Ownership of the entire customer experience. This includes appropriate product selection, accurate order entry and maintenance, accurately and safely picking
product, and safely loading customer vehicle as needed.
-Enthusiasm towards Grainger, the branch, our team members, our customers, and the work we perform each and every day
-Understand, agree, and commit to the safety guidelines and behaviors set forth through our organization and comply with all process standards including wearing personal protective equipment when required
-Learn and easily navigate through various computer systems and applications for customer facing and warehouse activities
-Agility to shift focus seamlessly from assisting customers to various other branch tasks including performing warehouse and showroom related tasks safely
-Consistently performs actions consistent with branch sales focus to capitalize on sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty
-Perform work in accordance with appropriate behaviors, established guidelines, work instructions, and contract compliance guidelines (Military on-site locations) where appropriate
-Picking, preparing, and staging will call orders/shipping product
-Prepare customer backorders and put away other stock received
-Assist with merchandising and perform showroom replenishment
-Perform inventory counts

You Have

-Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation

-Must be able to regularly and safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance
-Ability to learn and operate powered industrial equipment
-Performs housekeeping duties as needed to ensure branch appearance meets Grainger standards.
-Successful and timely completion of initial and ongoing training as required
-Other duties as assigned according to business needs
