HDR is looking for a Client Program Manager to join our growing Water Business Group in Austin, TX.


Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Client Manager, we'll count on you to be:

Client focused to best align client's mission, vision, and project needs to HDR

  • Serve as the Client Manager for selected key clients
  • Develop and drive individual long-range client-centered mission, vision, strategy, and service
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit to grow and expand our Austin area Water clientele
  • Responsibilities also include collaborating with other technical and marketing staff in the pursuit of new projects, taking a leadership role in selected key pursuits,
  • Support the development of and provide reviews of scopes of work, fee estimate, project risk identification and project schedules.
  • Ensure project delivery process is aligned with client expectations
  • Identity and apply HDR's initiatives to Central Texas clients as applicable
  • Participate in industry associations and serve as a company role-model in business and community organizations.
  • Develop relationships with industry counterparts in other consulting organizations
  • Work with our area and regional marketing teams to build our brand, visibility and increase our market share in the water market.
  • Assess market potential for specific clients and with support of our marketing team, position HDR for successful capture of these opportunities.
  • Lead/Establish strategic the client relationships, meetings, contractual discussions, design/production reviews and marketing efforts.
  • Lead a holistic, well-rounded client service team
  • Identify project management candidates to hire
  • Identify project opportunities and meet annual booking goals

Project Delivery

  • Function as a project manager or project director on large or key projects
  • Assist with contract review on key projects to help ensure risk management, proper staffing, quality reviews and resolution of claims.
  • Ensure the best technology and solutions are integrated into project delivery
  • Serve as a senior QAQC reviewer for client projects, including plans, specifications, models, presentation, and report, and be engaged early in the project delivery process.
  • Support project manager with negotiations
  • Serve as a client advocate to HDR leadership

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering preferred.
  • PE required
  • 10+ years in the design and project management of complex municipal water and wastewater systems.
  • Proven client service experience
  • Experience with MS Office, MS Project required;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Strong business development and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent team player with ability to function effectively in a variety of roles on integrated project teams.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preference given to individuals with experience working in this market and the Texas water market
