Primary Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Construction Manager/ Resident Engineer are planning, scheduling and coordination of construction procurements and supervision of field construction activities, involving general construction and/or trade subcontractors. The Construction Manager/ Resident Engineer is responsible for budget, schedule, quality and safety on construction projects. Must maintain accurate daily record of construction site activities and produce required reports on progress, safety, quality, schedule, and budget status. Duties may also include performing field inspection to confirm the work with the plans and specifications. This person may be located in Boise or Coeur d'Alene. Travel across Idaho and Oregon may be required based on project locations.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related degree.
  • 5+ years experience in construction management.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
  • Familiar with project controls and reporting.
  • Proven problem solving and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
  • Experience with Idaho Transportation Department policies and procedures on construction desired.
  • Travel to projects throughout Idaho and Oregon may be required.
  • This position requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing. HDR is a drug and alcohol free environment.
