Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Construction Engineer 2, we'll count on you to:

Assist the Resident Engineer in construction office engineering related work including but not limited to the following:

* Setting up and maintaining project files

* Writing construction change orders

* Processing required documents and progress payments

* Prevailing Wage Laws & Regulations

* Monitoring and enforcing labor compliance

* Subcontracting laws and policies

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field and/or valid EIT designation issued by the State of CA with the below practical work experience.

* 3+ years related experience on medium to large Caltrans transportation projects (roadways/highways/bridges) and/or major public works projects desired.

* Microsoft Office, Prolog (basic), Timberline and Primavera

* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
