DB Consulting Group, Inc. is looking for a candidate that support activities in the area of advanced chronic disease surveillance and electronic health record systems.
Additional Duties:
Performs statistical review of the Global Youth Tobacco Survey (GYTS) in the tobacco surveillance of global youth. Review data from the beginning of the process which include evaluating the sample and ensuring sampling requirements are met and/or assisting the countries if needed.
Performs data processing which includes: data analysis of GYTS and analyzing survey data using the statistical programs SAS and SUDAAN, creating statistical reports, tables and country factsheets, and supporting technical reviews and assessments. Track statistically the sampling design process and maintain the data processing status for all GYTS countries.
Conducts and participates in formal training workshops to support partners with implementing surveys and provide technical assistance at training and analysis workshops both domestic and globally.
Collaborates with the branch and external partners to co-author papers and develop joint manuscripts for dissemination. Continually update the GTSS website and data in the application for public use.
Experience Requirements:
2-3 years post graduate experience
Good fundamental statistical knowledge
Expert skills in SAS, STATA and SUDAAN.
Proven track record using large data sets (BRFSS, NHANES, etc)
Strong presentation skills
Strong communication skills
Experience providing technical assistance
Public health experience a must
Must be based in Atlanta
Education Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s Degree strongly preferred
