Job Description

Wanted: An experienced Telecommunications Analyst with demonstrated expertise and extensive management experience in VoIP with Avaya and Cisco technologies and systems administration (RHEL and Microsoft).  

As a Telecommunications Analyst, you will:

A week in the life of a Telecommunications Analyst:

  • Build trunk groups and make route pattern AAR/ARS changes. 
  • Perform daily customer moves, add, change, and delete (MACD) operations and support. 
  • Consolidate stand-alone Call Management Systems (CMS) into one Enterprise CMS for centralized reporting and reduced maintenance costs. 
  • Provide Windows 2012R2/2016 and Linux administration: patching, upgrades and monitoring for 200 servers (Dell, HP, IBM) and 1000 user. 
  • Upgrade Avaya and Cisco telecommunication systems; maintain operating systems. 
  • Perform changes in container-based technology – OpenShift. 
  • Leverage soft phone applications for remote call center agent’s business continuity and disaster recovery plan. 
  • Design, test, and deploy VDN/vector logic, routing, and call treatment based on business requirements. 
  • Perform web server configuration/service management of Apache.  
  • Deploy Avaya soft phone (One-x Communicator) and IP hard phones as a corporate service for work at home and hoteling employees.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.  The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 7 years of recent and relevant experience.
  • MCSA & RHCSA (RHEL 8) certifications.
  • Domain expertise: VoIP, Web Services, Operating Systems, Data Center Support, Networking, Security.
  • Technical skills: PBAX and VoIP communications (Avaya, Cisco), Avaya Virtual Platform, Apache Tomcat, IIS, Nginx, Windows 2012/2016 R2, AIX, RHEL 6.7 & 8, Ubuntu, Red Hat, MS Windows Server/Azure/SCCM, HP, Dell/EMC, IBM, F5, Red Hat Satellite, IBM Big Fix, Cisco, Palo-Alto, Mojo, McAfee DES, BitLocker, Nexpose, CrowdStrike, Bluecoat, SEPM, Avaya (Red) Aura Configuration Manager, ESS, LSP, AES, & CMS administration. 
  • Other preferred certifications: CompTIA, MCP/MCSA.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information technology management or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Previous Transportation Security Administration (TSA) personnel clearance preferred but not required. 
  • Prior experience with and knowledge of TSA’s mission priorities, systems, and applications preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.  Ability to coordinate across large groups of people at multiple levels
