PURPOSE

As Product Support Engineer Intern, you will be on the Global Hardware Services team to support our devices and make a positive impact on our end users and internal teams. Your role is focused on maintaining service documentation and developing procedures to improve device serviceability and to support engineering changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary deliverables:

  • Update and write service documentation including manuals and field service bulletins.
  • Apply hands-on technical skills to develop and verify service procedures.
  • Track progress of field plans and implementation activities.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings on design changes, quality actions, supply chain activities, commercial implementations, and more.
  • Engage in other projects as needed for Field Service, Depot Repair, and more

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Office 365 preferred
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Technical ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem-solving and collaborative mindset
  • Self-motivated
  • Time management
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High school diploma or educational equivalent plus relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Student in pursuit of engineering degree preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lifting/moving up to 10 pounds.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.


LOCATION

The candidate should be located in the Boston or Pittsburgh area. The position will require remote as well as on-site presence for training and hands-on access to devices as needed.
