POSITION SUMMARY:

Manages, develops, and implements the operational activities of the monitoring and auditing teams, including Privacy Specialists and Privacy Partners. The Privacy Manager coordinates with Quality and Research to assure that protected health information is handled appropriately. Facilitates and actively participates in designated system committees and teams as needed. Assists the Enterprise Privacy Director in the development and implementation of new privacy initiatives across the health system. Responsible for the successful execution of strategic data management projects and initiatives throughout WVU Medicine and its affiliates

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Business, or related field OR equivalent. AND Minimum of four years of

experience managing healthcare, education, audit processes, health information services or privacy projects. OR

Associates Degree in Health Information Management, Business, or related field or equivalent AND Minimum of six years of

experience managing healthcare, education, audit processes, health information services, or privacy projects.
