Description Are you an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk seeking a new role? Then this employment opportunity offered through Robert Half may be for you. Located in Silver Spring, Maryland, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening. Career growth and quick advancement makes this department a desirable place to work. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will require to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.Responsibilities- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail- Accomplish full-cycle A/P- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them- Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department- Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs Requirements - Command of Activity Based Costing (ABC)- 401k - RRSP Administration experience- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred- Competent with spreadsheets and databases- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirementRobert Half is the worlds first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
