Job Description
Job Description Nurse Auditor Scope: The Nurse Auditors primary responsibility is to review medical records and provide results notification to the client. The Nurse Auditor must interface with all staff within CHR and provide excellent customer service to the client. Qualifications : Minimum 5 years of experience working in a medical environment or physician office, with review of medical records. Occupational medicine or urgent care experience a plus. RN preferred. Duties and Responsibilities: Conducts audits/clearances of medical records based on the Health Care Professionals (HCP) Overview Criteria for the designated clients. Ensures all protocol components are in file guide order, within acceptable ranges, and complete. Ensures current forms are being utilized. Understands specific turnaround times, ensuring deadlines are promptly met or exceeded per contract SLAs. Identifies issues based upon HCPs Overview Criteria. Escalates problem cases accordingly to RN Case Mangers, or if indicated, the Clients Medical Department. Prepares Case Presentations as necessary for escalation to the Reviewing Physician. Submits daily case status reports. Documents notes in proprietary tracking software as exams are processed. Sends results notification to clients per their SOP. Prepares records for storage. Documents cases to spreadsheets if indicated. Work concurrently on multiple projects with various processing guidelines; and follow specific standard operating procedures. Job requirements: Must be detail oriented, and able to multitask and prioritize. Must have ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent organizational and customer service skills. Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Must be knowledgeable in MS Office, Adobe and common office equipment. Due to Client contract requirements, COVID Vaccination is required. Strong computer skills required. Applicants must be detail oriented; have ability to handle moderately complex assignments; work efficiently with limited supervision; work concurrently on multiple projects with various processing guidelines; and follow specific procedures.
