Job Title: Telecommunications Field Foreman (Construction) Hiring Locations: Maryland, DC & Northern Virginia Reports to: Superintendent FLSA Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt SUMMARY Have you completed BICSI Installer 1, 2 (copper and fiber optic), and Technician certifications?; AND Do you have at least five years of experience working on commercial construction project sites?; AND Do you have at least two years of Lead Technician/Field Foreman experience? ConCor Networks, Inc. specializes in broad-range data communication supply and installation for commercial clients. ConCor is seeking to hire an experienced and qualified Field Foreman. The Field Foreman is directly responsible for leading, directing, and working collectively with field installation technicians. The Field Foreman will plan work activities for field technicians and ensure materials, tools, equipment and information are on the project sites in the appropriate locations to meet the construction schedules and deadlines. The Field Foreman will execute their position responsibilities in accordance with company policies, practices, and processes, and applicable laws. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Reports to assigned job site on time. * Clearly understands, complies with and enforces Company and job safety requirements to include, but limited to: OSHA, VOSH, MOSH, Federal and State laws and/or regulations. * Clearly understands, complies with and enforces Company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Responsible for planning the work and scheduled of field installations, and communicating ensuring execution by reporting field workforce. * Coordinates and/or attends progress meetings. * Conducts weekly Safety Toolbox Talks, Pre-task huddles and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and other safety reporting as assigned. Performs and documents weekly safety inspections and production units of field technicians. * Performs proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials. * Plans and organizes tasks in order to meet task deadlines and meet or exceed estimated labor production units and related cost. * Leads by example, and directs, motivates, supervises and accurately manages crew or project field technicians. * Properly and effectively performs any task related to communications construction. Monitors work in progress for quality, safety and production. * Possesses a thorough knowledge of communications theory, mathematics, inside and outside plant construction and maintenance methods. * Safely uses and instructs proper use of all hand and power tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks, including but not limited to OTDR, Fluke meters, cable cutters, drills, saws, hammer drills, knock-out punches, and all tools and equipment utilized by the technicians. * Accurately oversees payroll time reporting and proper coding of time sheets. * Conducts performance evaluations for reporting employees in accordance with company best practices, federal and state laws. Provides performance feedback to assigned Project Manager (PM). * Coordinates job progress with other trades, contractors, owners, etc. * Schedules timely inspections to meet assigned project deadlines. * Submits timely reports as directed by superintendent / project manager or director. * Maintains accurate and updated daily log book. * Maintains a safe working environment and identify, abate, mitigate potential hazards. * Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check. * Must have reliable transportation. * Performs all other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * Directing and leading field technicians. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess minimum of 10 hours of OSHA Training. * Must be trained in or obtain First Aid and CPR Certification. * Attend & receive certification of completion of seminars or programs to stay educated with the changes and methods of the communications industry and related NEC. * Must be able to speak English language and receive work directives and to ensure job safety. Ability to speak Spanish a plus. COMPUTER SKILLS * Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and with email usage. * Must possess working knowledge of various office equipment, including but not limited to, computers/CRTs, copiers calculators, printers and fax machines. Must be able to speak, interpret, read and write English. The ability to speak, interpret, read and write Spanish is a plus.
