Description SECTION 508 TASK COORDINATOR (IRS508-22-0001-F): Bowhead is seeking a Section 508 Task Coordinator to serve as frontline communications for policy, procedures, and program support for the Information Resources Accessibility Program (IRAP) Section 508 office. The Section 508 Program Office is an organization within the US Department of the Treasury's, Office of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that provides agency wide support Assistive Technology (AT) as a reasonable accommodations and technical Section 508 guidance for IRS projects and Agency initiatives. Responsibilities to include: * Responsible for managing the intake of technical operations communications inquires or requests. * Conduct in-depth analyses of incoming emails, web forms, phone calls, and walk-ups that impact the IRAP and 508 office. * Cross-check references and review requirements to propose solutions. * Create tasks and assign them to an analyst suitable to resolve the issue. Also, assign technical and usability support tasks to the IRAP technical support group. * Approve helpdesk tickets for loaner installs, actively communicate with the projects/applications during the six-month loaner period, and put in uninstall helpdesk tickets to remove the loaner software. * Administer the IRAP software applications and permissions to IRAP secured web forms. Act as an approver for the Online 5081 application requests for IT technicians to get access to the IRAP secured download webpage * Grant permissions to the Reasonable Accommodation Coordinators (RAC) to access the secured IRAP webforms to put in new order requests for assistive technology customers. * Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and bi-monthly performance reports for IRS. Work closely with management to prepare summaries and statistics reporting for executives. * Administer the 508 and IRAP mailboxes. * Analyzes the information being presented and conducts historical research, such as a data pulled from database records, completed tasks, assessments notes, and archived emails. Requirements In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire. * Strong reading ability, communication and analytical skills. * Minimum 3 years office/administrative experience with solid working knowledge of MS Office Automation products (Word, Excel, etc.) * Service Desk & Incident management Process Flow understanding * Knowledge of the technical, policy and contracting implications of Section 508 * Experience in technical problem solving and analytical/logical thinking. * Prior customer service and Help desk technician experience desirable SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust (NAC) level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Public Trust (NAC) clearance at this location.
