Description

Job Description:

The Biological Life Sciences Operation of the Health Group is seeking a Biomedical Scientist who will perform as a productive member of a team that supports process, data, and program management for the All of Us Research Program in North Bethesda, MD. This is NOT a laboratory research position.

A position is available for a biomedical scientist with experience managing medical information and clinical products associated with large, longitudinal epidemiological studies. The All of Us Research Program (AoURP) collects a wide variety of data from sources including biospecimens, physical measurements, genomic profiles, mobile health devices, and medical histories to describe a cohort of over a million people who will be followed for over 10 years. In support of the program, we are seeking a dedicated individual who can assist in the development, management, and overall stewardship of program governance, collaborations, protocol development, and program policies.

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing or supporting AOURP projects including some that are collaborations between internal divisions, NIH institutes and centers, or with awardees. She or he will be responsible for managing a number of collaborative efforts and internal processes. An important aspect of this work includes understanding the wealth of available healthcare data to assist the program in data sourcing, interpretation, and utilization, which will be used in development of future protocol versions. Some travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: The position requires a Master's or PhD with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 7 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years of program or project management experience. The successful candidate should also bring demonstrated knowledge of data management, product management, or process facilitation, ideally related to or in support of the design and execution of complex cohort studies. Candidates should have superior communication skills with the ability to translate academic and scientific concepts to varied constituencies, the ability to collaborate with researchers and other AoURP stakeholders, experience in developing and setting strategic priorities, and managing data resources. Visual and group communication skills including facilitation or graphic design are plus.

This position requires a US citizenship.
