POSITION SUMMARY: A postdoctoral fellow in retina imaging lab with a focus on developing and carrying out the research in retinal disease. The candidate will propose and undertake a mentored, innovative project or challenge to improve retinal disease diagnosis.
Design and perform retinal imaging research trials
Screen potential research patients
Image Analysis
Perform bio-statistical analysis
Write abstract and articles for publications
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Read, analyze and summarize published literature
Undertake relevant coursework if required by mentor
Attending relevant meetings
Inspire and cooperate with team members
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires a MD and /or PhD in the field of Ophthalmology (Retina research)
1-5 years' experience preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Lab setting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possible lifting of 10 to 20 lbs., depending on nature of chosen project(s).
