Job Description
DB Consulting Group, Inc. is looking for a candidate that provides OS Linux Systems Administration engineering support to the Mission Control Center (MCC) Operations and Training Systems within the NASA JSC Flight Operations Directorate on the Mission Systems Operations Contract (MSOC). The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the operations, on-going and new IT Initiatives and upgrades, evaluation for new software, and support for all production, staging, development, and disaster recovery environments.

Additional Duties:
- Manages the appropriate configuration baseline of operating systems, software applications, and security compliance
- Monitors and works with performance tools and active directory
- Assesses and interprets requirements of systems and applications in relation to hardware, software and operational needs
- Implements efficiencies through automations (leverage PowerShell, Power CLI, and batch jobs to automate manual and repetitive processes)
- Investigates new technology and provide recommendations on system improvements and life cycle planning
- 10 + years of engineering experience
- Experience in Linux Operating System especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux (e.g. Services, Security, Performance Turning)
- Experience in at least one high-level scripting language (e.g. Perl, BigFix ActionScript) is required
- Experience in at least one automation & system management product is a plus (e.g. BigFix or Satellite preferred)
- Experience with Ansible and Ansible Tower
- Experience with Linux Security hardening procedures (CIS, OpenSCAP)
- Familiar with heterogeneous platform management between Windows and Linux (SSH, Samba, Kerberos, LDAP) a plus
- Familiar with basic TCP/IP (addressing, subnetting, routing, firewall rules, DHCP, DNS)
- Experience with ServiceNow, Splunk, SolarWinds, VMWare and VSphere, DNS, DHCP, PXE, Kerberos, LDAP, Oracle, MySQL, flexLM, RSA a plus.
- Experience with IBM SAN, v7000, v7200, SVC, Brocade FC switches
- Familiar with Spectrum Scale, GPFS with CES, Spectrum Project, TSM and HSM
- Experience with containerization technologies such as openshift or docker
- Experience with Hewlett Packard Enterprise blade servers
