The Laboratory of Dr. Reza Dana at the Schepens Eye Research Institute of Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School, is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time position as a Research Assistant to study the immunopathogenesis of corneal transplantation. Studies will include working with animal models of ocular inflammation.

Essential Functions

  • The successful candidate will support multiple research projects and participate in all phases of research, including designing some of the experiments, preparation and conduct of studies, and data collection and analysis.
  • Work closely with postdoctoral research fellow(s) and lab PI.
  • Attendance at lab and project meetings

Qualifications
  • Candidates with at least a bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred)
  • Solid research expertise (2+ years)
  • Having experience in handling animals, chemicals, operating laboratory equipment, generating and analyzing data, as well as computer skills, are highly desirable.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, organizational, teamwork, and time management skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
