Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Terracon is now accepting applications for our 2021 paid summer internship program in our Denver, CO office! This year we are seeking interns to work in our Construction Materials Testing department. This internship will prove to be a life experience that you will look back on fondly for years, and you will learn engineering principles that will help to serve you throughout your career. The successful candidate will be enrolled at a ABET accredited college or university, have a basic knowledge of engineering design principles and have a G.P.A. of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Selected students will take part in an exciting, fun and meaningful work experience as the student/intern will be working along-side some of the brightest project management minds and state of the art technology in the geotechnical industry. Our program features meaningful project work, real world engineering exercises, as well as, professional office career development. You will be assigned a leader/mentor with many years of experience in the project management field and our mentors will be there with you every step of the way through your internship helping to guide your development and answer questions.

This position is compliant with the Colorado Fair Pay Act and will pay $16-$17 per hour.


General Responsibilities:

  • Field Materials Testing
  • Geotechnical engineering principles
  • Various office duties
  • Project Management duties
  • End of internship formal presentation and evaluation
Requirements:
  • College Sophomores and Juniors-Must be actively enrolled in a ABET accredited college or university full-time.
  • Minimum G.P.A. overall 3.0 in a 4.0-point system
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history

  • Following all CDC guidelines including social distancing on job sites, in offices, and in our labs
  • Implementing a stand-by leave program to ensure our employees continue service and health insurance benefits during regional work shortages
