Job Description
Description Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in medical and surgical eye care. They diagnose and treat all eye diseases. Many ophthalmologists conduct scientific research to improve treatment options and to find cures for eye diseases and vision disorders.
Qualifications Required: MD or DO and Ophthalmology residency in an accredited training program. Fellowship training for subspecialty care practice. State licensure, compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements, hospital and medical school appointment requirements.
