Abacus Technology is seeking a Video Teleconference (VTC) Technician to provide technical support to the Aberdeen Proving Ground. This is a full-time position.

Provide on-site video-teleconference (VTC) support services to the RNEC-Aberdeen. Maintain IT equipment in support of conference rooms and for providing the Government all information/costs regarding maintenance and upgrades to the conference room IT equipment. Provide NIPRNET and SIPRNET desktop support to those PCs, and VTC equipment not already maintained by an existing maintenance contract. Provide the Government with growth projections, scalability and related recommendations to meet future VTC requirements. Provide support for the scheduling and related coordination of the rooms, and for the daily upkeep and maintenance of IT equipment. Place point-to-point and multi-point calls, conduct tests of the equipment to assure it is operational, perform 'dry-runs' for all SES or Command Level conferences and with users, as necessary. Provide support and troubleshooting during bridge or VTC calls. Administer Tandberg proprietary platforms (bridge, gatekeeper, MPS) to include troubleshooting software and hardware issues. Support cybersecurity and security directives. Schedule bridges as needed. Supply all support, maintenance, and operation of the ASC Secure Video Bridge. Install/configure software and firmware updates as necessary. Assist in providing system assessment and authorization documentation such as required artifacts and shall answer technical questions required for registration of secure video bridge with DISA for video services. Assist in performing yearly reviews of the accreditation, or whenever changes/additions are made to the system. Assist in preparing risk assessments, as required, and by suspense date assigned. Provide on-site video teleconference (VTC) support services to the RNEC-Aberdeen. Adhere to and monitor compliance with all relevant Army/RNEC-Aberdeen VTC policies and procedures. Support the administration of VTC endpoints. Recommend methods to improve RNEC-Aberdeen VTC operations.

3+ years experience installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining audio and visual teleconferencing equipment. Must be Security+ CE certified (or equivalent certification to meet DoD 8570 IAT II requirement). Must hold or be able to obtain either of the following certifications within six months of hire: MCSA Windows 8/10 or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate. Knowledge of Tandberg, Cisco, or any other equivalent VTC Bridging Technologies and operations, maintenance and scheduling. Knowledge of and ability to communicate VTC support concepts to technical and nontechnical personnel. Able to develop technical documents and produce system design documentation. Project a positive image and professional manner at all times. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
