Job Summary

People Operations - Senior Associate

Location: Chicago, Oak Brook, St. Louis

This role serves as a point of contact and human resources liaison to aligned business units and the firm on people related matters and is responsible for understanding the various firm-wide talent solutions provided to the business unit and ensuring those are well coordinated and executed to support the business unit needs. This position, in partnership with the People Operations Leader and the Talent Solutions practice overall, is responsible for executing and coordinating key people processes throughout the year as well as supporting the talent management programs and projects within the business units related to continued growth, development, and engagement of people.

Qualifications

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure efficient and effective execution and facilitation of the following people operations programs and processes:
  • Manage day to day employee situations in partnership with the People Operations Leader and firm wide
  • Human Resource Services including terminations, performance improvement plans, flexible work arrangements, leaves of absence, etc.
  • Participate in the internal investigation process for sensitive employee matters
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Identify trends in exit interview data that speak to issues facing the practice and bring forward for discussion and potential actions
  • Provide regular people operations updates on business unit statistics and people relations matters and processes to the People Operations Leader
  • Serve as liaison to Firm wide Recruiting for both campus and experienced hiring
  • Coordinate elements of the business unit components of the firm’s internship program
  • Coordinate the execution of the business unit annual people processes with the People Operations Leader, including performance/ career management communications, assist in facilitation of talent meetings and compensation analyses and decisions
  • Coordinate the business unit’s responsibilities related to rewards and recognition programs
  • Support the processing and coordination of visas and secondments for Consulting, Applied Technology and Data Science business unit personnel
  • Facilitate elements of the campus hire orientations for the Consulting, Applied Technology and Data Science business unit campus hires
  • Assist in coordination of BU participation in leadership development programming, inclusion strategy, and succession planning
  • Support the review, interpretation and action planning related to the firm’s listening strategy and related processes
  • Support the execution of key firm wide initiatives relative to diversity and inclusion
  • Facilitate and coordinate other tasks and special projects as identified and/or required

  • Ability to think broadly and develop organizational awareness quickly
  • Flexible, agile, and ability to manage within ambiguity as necessary
  • Ability to travel up to 10% annually to attend various firm / business unit / training meetings
  • Workday experience preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Human Resources or related field
  • 5-7 years of related job experience in Human Resources

Additional Skills Desired:

  • Active GPHR, SPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Human Resources experience in Professional Services
