Sr. Web Developer

Engagement Type: Contract

Location: Baltimore, MD

Duration: 24 Months

The contractor will provide analytical and technicalsupport to SSA with the development of an enhanced user-interface for anEnterprise Wide Application allowing for faceted search functionality;incorporation of additional databases into this application; and theobfuscation of additional data fields within the Application.

Activitiesmay include, but are not limited to, the following:

Perform software development and maintenance in accordance with SSA’s softwaredevelopment lifecycle.

Learn and utilize third party vendor tools to implement data privacy.

Develop processes and software that safeguard FTI/PII for SSA’s programmaticsystems.

Develop an effective user interface enabling users to identify and direct theirdata towards the targeted environment.

Define and implement the necessary database structures to support additionaldatabases for the Application.

Skills Requirements: Web Developer: Experiencedeveloping Web Services as part of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) usingthe following: XML, JavaScript, XHTML, HTML, CSS, JQUER, ,,SQL, XPATH, and Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with TCP/IP, Socketsprogramming, FTP, z/OS.

Familiarity with using Quality Center and Quick Test Pro to develop testplans.

Education: (Must have at least a BS or MS with 8 + years experience)
