Due to our continued growth, we are searching for a National BIM Director to lead and direct our BIM initiatives. Reporting to HDR Architecture's Director of Operations-Domestic, the ideal candidate will lead HDR's BIM Program as it relates to the establishment of HDR Best Practices and Standards for both domestic and international project delivery. HDR is looking for a unique individual who can manage and drive results within a cross matrix organization. Candidate will be asked to drive the creation and deployment of a multi-year BIM initiative. This individual must be well versed in the establishment and execution of Owner BIM Guidelines, as well as the creation of new BIM Requirements. Fundamental to this position will be a working knowledge of the AIA style contracts and associated implications to traditional industry contract delivery, third party agreements and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). In addition, HDR seeks candidates with experience in construction, 4D, 5D, post occupancy delivery (O&M) and/or FM Delivery. Ability to work effectively with a variety of people, groups and experience levels while leading large profile projects in development and coordinating BIM. Will be required to develop key relationships throughout the organization; spanning Executive Leadership to Project Coordinator as a means to deploy HDR's BIM roadmap. | Requirements | Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management preferred. Minimum 10 years AEC industry experience. Experience managing large complex workflow performance on Healthcare, Science + Technology or Civic projects with a $300M+ budget. Aptitude toward technology and analytical problem solving skills. Ability to challenge status quo in a constructive and successful fashion. Demonstrated change management or LEAN experience. Strong interpersonal communication and demonstrated oral and written presentation skills. Experience and interest in sustainable design/LEED desired. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must. | |
