Position Description

As a CyberPoint Senior Systems Engineer, you will provide requirements engineering, risk & opportunity management, baseline control, technical planning, and technical assessment for the development team(s) throughout the entire life cycle of the system. You will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that adhere to technical, schedule, and cost constraints. In addition, you will perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Some of the general responsibilities you will be required to perform include:

  • Requirements Engineering: Analyzing customer and stakeholder needs; generating/developing requirements; and performing functional analysis.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Developing and implementing risk and opportunity management plans; identifying risks; assessing risks; developing mitigation plans; and tracking risks.
  • Baseline Control: Developing and implementing configuration management plans; establishing and updating baseline requirements; establish change control processes; and participating on the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
  • Technical planning: Identifying program objectives and technical development strategy; preparing System Engineering Management Plan, Work Breakdown Structures, master schedules, and key performance parameters.
  • Technical Effort Assessment: Collecting, analyzing, tracking, and reporting program metrics.

To qualify for this position, you must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Communications, Computer, or Electrical), Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or similar degree and/or meet the experience requirements, or equivalent documented combination of training and experience.

You will have a minimum 10 years experience in System Engineering competencies such as: Requirements Engineering, Design Development, System Integration, Qualification, Verification & Validation, Technical Planning, Process Definition, Risk Assessment, Training, Tool Support, Quality Assurance, Experience with large or complex systems.

Experience with CASE Tools (e.g. Vitech CORE, IBM Raphodsy, SPARX EA), SysML and UML, Simulation or Modeling, System, Information, or Network Security, and/or CSEP Certification are considered a plus.
