For over 20 years, the D.C. Lottery and Charitable Games Control Board has been an integral part of the District government. The D.C. Lottery annually generates over $60 million to help the District government meet the needs of its citizens.

Since its inception, the D.C. Lottery has contributed more than $1 billion dollars to the general fund of the District of Columbia. Revenue generated through the D.C. Lottery supports city services such as education and public safety. The Charitable Gaming Department has helped community organizations raise more than $80 million over the past two decades, extending the social safety net for the poor and working poor in our area.
